With your first call, you will know why Walker Orthodontics is the choice of parents and teens in the East Valley. You are always treated like family with friendly and straightforward service.
When you schedule an appointment with us, we will invite you to complete paperwork online before you come in. By using our secure system to fill out and submit your health history, you will save time when you arrive for your first visit.
You also have the option to fill out the form in our office at your first visit.
During our first office meeting, we will talk to you about your medical/dental history. Then Dr. Walker will conduct a clinical examination to determine if and when orthodontic treatment is indicated.
When it is time to start treatment, we will create the initial diagnostic records which are used to develop your custom treatment plan and track progress as the teeth move. Records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient’s face and teeth, and orthodontic X-rays.
After Dr. Walker has evaluated your records, he will discuss your treatment with you in detail. We will also explain the length of treatment, the cost and payment options for your case, and any other concerns you may have.
A one to two hour appointment is generally required when you first get your orthodontic appliances (braces, expanders, etc.).
Once you have your braces, adjustments will be scheduled at regular intervals four to eight weeks apart. These appointments usually take 20 to 40 minutes and are best scheduled in advance. We pride ourselves on being on time for your appointment and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us as early as possible.
